September 21st @ 1pm : "SUNY Cortland Delta Chi Benefit For Brothers In Battle" Golf Tournament

The SUNY Cortland Delta Chi Fraternity is very pleased to announce the very first annual "Benefit For Brothers In Battle" Golf Tournament. This golf tournament will be held in honor of two of our very own Cortland Delta Chi soldiers, Jesse Keith and Rob Wescott, as well as all of the Delta Chi's who have been involved in the armed forces in order to protect this country. The golf tournament will be held at the SUNY Cortland Country Club on September 21st at 1pm. Proceeds of the tournament will be sent to benefit and assist military hospitals. The price of the tournament will be $80 and this price will include a meal, a golf cart, and golf for the entire day. This event is truly for a great cause and we greatly appreciate any and all of support and encouragement that can be provided. Help and support your soldiers by coming out and playing some golf, we are excited to see everyone there!

July 18th to 20th, 2008 : The ABT Is Taking A Road Trip To Columbus (OH)! REMEMBER THIS DATE!

We are all very excited for this years upcoming 2008 Cortland ABT summer retreat. The retreat will be held July 18th to the 20th at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Michael Tumolo has made arrangements with the Ohio State Delta Chi House Corporation to use their chapter house for some of the sessions and for some overnight accommodations. There are going to be many amazing guest speakers and we are looking forward to the retreat being a once in a lifetime experience. Guest speakers include Steve Bossart "AA", Tom Horowitz "DD", Paul Bohlman "Delta Chi International Philanthropy Chairman," and Monte Johnson "Order of the White Carnation and President of the Ohio State ABT." ABT members and also Chapter Executive Board members are welcome and encouraged to come because their input will be very valuable. And not to be forgotten, their will be social events Friday and Saturday evening and also golf and campus tours for those that are interested. We hope to see you there, SAVE THE DATE!

May 14, 2008 : Delta Chi Cortland releases latest edition of the Delta Digest

Alumni Relations Officer Tom Irving has recently released the latest edition of Delta Chi Cortland's alumni newsletter, the Delta Digest. The 22-page issue can be seen in an electronic format by clicking here. The Delta Digest was awarded Outstanding Alumni Relations Newsletters last year by International Delta Chi.

 

April 28, 2008 : Delta Chi to hold post-graduation reception

Cortland Delta Chi will have 14 brothers receive their diplomas at Commencement on May 17th, 2008 in the afternoon session. Following graduation there will be a reception for the graduates and their families at the chapter house. Click here to read the letter about the reception and how to RSVP.

April 27, 2008 : Cortland Delta Chi holds its first Alumni Initiation

Delta Chi recently initiated four fathers as Alumni Initiates. Frank Nelson, Edward Reiser, Bob Fetterly and Kenneth Brink were all initiated on Saturday April 26th and were the first alumni initiates of the chapter. Mr Reiser is the father of our current "A" Ed, Mr. Nelson is the father of our current "D" Tim and Mr. Brink is the father of our incoming "F" Jeff. Mr. Fetterly is the father of two Delta Chi Alumni, Adam of Cortland and J.D. of Fredonia. Click here for photos of the event.

April 27, 2008 : Brother Andrew Trager wins Delta Chi of the Year Award

Senior Andrew Trager was presented with Cortland's Delta Chi of the Year Award at the fraternity's formal. Andrew is the current "C" and is a Founding Father.

 

April 27, 2008 : Brother Daniel Catalano hired as Delta Chi Leadership Consultant

Senior Daniel Catalano has recently been hired as Delta Chi International's newest Leadership Consultant. He will being training at Iowa City in June and is the first Cortland Brother to be hired as a "LC." Dan is a Founding Father of the Cortland Chapter.

 

April 11, 2008 : Cortland Delta Chi hosts Regional Leadership Conference

The Cortland Chapter of Delta Chi recently hosted the 2008 Region VII RLC. Cortland was awarded Region VII Chapter of the Year for the second consecutive year. Cortland had the largest delegation at the conference. Click here for photos and more information about the conference.

 

April 11, 2008 : Cortland ABT holds annual meeting

The Cortland Chapter of Delta Chi held its annual Alumni Board of Trustees at the Country Club of Ithaca recently. Michael Tumolo was reelected President, Matt Muzza was reelected Secretary and Mike Zitelli was reelected Financial Advisor.

April 11, 2008 : Cortland initiates Zeta Class

The Cortland Chapter of Delta Chi has recently initiated nine men (eight freshman) into the bond of Delta Chi. The newest class brings the active membership of Delta Chi to 43 brothers. Jimmy Classey '08 was the Zeta Class Associate Member Counselor.

 

March 18, 2008 : Cortland Delta Chi to hold Jimmy V March Madness Fundraiser

Cortland Delta Chi is hosting a school-approved fundraiser for their philanthropy, the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. They will be selling brackets for the upcoming NCAA tournament and all of the proceeds will be donated to Jimmy V. Over 50 brackets were sold.

February 2, 2008 : Delta Chi Cortland volunteer for local Winter Festival

The members of the Delta Chi Fraternity joined forces with other members of the SUNY Cortland Greek life to volunteer at the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex this past weekend. Click here for more information on this event.

 

January 30, 2008 : Virtual Fly-By of Chapter House available online

December 1, 2007 : Latest Newsletter available on web

The latest issue of the Delta Digest has been released. Many copies of the shortened version have been sent out in the mail. February 27, 2008 : Tumolo Memorial Scholarship Winner Announced

Matt Muzza, a senior sport management major from Jamestown, New York, was named the inaugural winner of the Michael John Tumolo Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship held an award of $250.

January 28, 2008 : New Tumolo Scholarship available

The Michael John Tumolo Memorial Scholarship will be given this semester to an undergraduate active member of Delta Chi Cortland. The minimum GPA is 2.75 and the scholarship award is $250. This scholarship will be given out once a semester by current ABT President Michael James Tumolo, in memory of his grandfather. To view the application click here .

September 22, 2007 : Delta Chi launches Campaign for Cortland

The Alumni Board of Trustees of the Cortland Chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity have announced a fundraising initiative through the Delta Chi Educational Foundation's Chapter Scholarship Account. It is the ABT's goal to raise $10,000 by December 31, 2008. Click here for more information on the Campaign for Cortland.
